The OPM Chapter of Blacks In Government (BIG) is excited about the new initiative that will be unveiled shortly by OPM that places a special emphasis on training employees for professional growth.  OPM wants to improve employee performance and place their employees in a better position to compete for internal and external job opportunities.

Components of this new initiative is the consolidation of OPM's training courses to create a curriculum that will be a building block for professional growth for all employees as well as prepare current and future leaders for meeting the challenges of tomorrow.

In addition, OPM is creating an updated learning technology center. The Learning and Career Center will be a central hub whereby all OPM employees can receive career counseling, information on job opportunities, training, and training information.
